About Dr. Ross
I am a graduate of Bastyr University, Seattle, Washington. It was there that I earned a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine degree and Certificate of Naturopathic Midwifery. I have been certified as a professional midwife (CPM) by the North American Registry of Midwives as well as certified as a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) by the North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners. I maintain a license in Washington state as a midwife (MW299) and Naturopathic Physician (NT1397).
After practicing Naturopathic Medicine and Midwifery in Minnesota for two years, I decided to return to the Seattle area. I opened my practice in Lynnwood in September of 2006 while five months pregnant with my son. He was born on December 5, 2006. Raising a child and a new practice is challenging but I seem to find balance between the two in addition to teaching at Bastyr University.
I love what I do. I feel very passionate about naturopathic medicine and midwifery. I feel very strongly that people should have choices in their health care and that they should be given the correct information to make those choices.
In my practice I draw on my education, personal experience, and experience gained from others to provide you with the most up-to-date and accurate information. If I don't know the answers, I will do my absolute best find them.
For all of my clients, I follow the basic principles of Naturopathic Medicine:
Vis medicatrix naturae (the healing power of nature)
First, do no harm
Find the cause
Treat the whole person
Preventative medicine
Doctor as teacher
MANA: Midwives Association of North America
AANM: American Association of Naturopathic Midwives
MAWS: Midwifery Association of Washington State
